Crack open a cold one with this DIY bottle opener

Asset 2

Sure you can just buy a bottle opener, but this homemade version is so much better because it’s unique and you made it! Hang it up, keep it handy, or gift it — here’s how to make yours:

1. Grab some old scraps of wood for your one-of-a-kind bottle opener.

2. Start by cutting a 1×6 piece of pine at ¾”, making sure to sand any sharp edges.

3. Mark and pre-drill a hole ¾” from the top. Be careful not to drill all the way through.

4. Use a #12 ¾” screw to pry the cap off.  We also added a 9″ piece of leather lace to hang it.

Open up that bottle and enjoy!
