Canada Day may look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show off your pride for the great white north. In fact, we think now is a better time than any to set up a small celebration and go crazy with all things red and white. Whether you spend July 1st at the cottage, on the lake, or in your own backyard, here’s everything you need to have the most Canadian of Canada Days.
Float-Eh Maple Leaf Pool Float
All of the best long weekend start with throwing your bathing suit on for a hop in the water. Use this float to show off your love of Canada and your love of lounging on the lake.
Porter Reusable Lunch Bowl
A picnic in the park, on your dock, or on the boat can be made festive and environmentally friendly! Pack a hearty grain salad in this reusable bowl with a snap-tight silicone strap and then do it over and over again all summer long.
Canada Flag Bathing Suit
Everyone needs a fun bathing suit or two. Keep this red and white one stocked in the “extras” bin in your cottage closet for a July 1st splash, or for guests who come up and may have forgotten theirs.
Kinsip Whisky Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
Maple syrup is a must to celebrate Canada’s birthday. This sweet sap is made in Price Edward County and has been aged in whisky barrels for a robust, smoky, flavour. Pour it on your pancakes for breakfast and ice cream for dessert.
Henryka Market Umbrella
Lounging on the dock all day and in need of some shade? This nine-foot umbrella is the perfect fit for your picnic table. Grab a burger off the grill or a strawberry shortcake skewer and sit under our favourite Canadian colour.
Cotton Kitchen towel
Although we highly suggest spending Canada Day outside as much as possible, we know you’ll inevitably have to come inside and do the dishes. Make the chore as fun as possible with this large dish towel full of cute critters from the north.
Lodge Canadiana Series Cast Iron Skillet with Loon
You know how much we love a cast iron skillet, so when we found this one with the quintessential Canadian animal, we went looney! Use it while serving up a pre-dinner snack, like this wheat beer cornbread, or use it for dessert and make a skillet s’more.
Bonus: Canada Day Tattoos
Okay, so you can’t use these temporary tattoos all summer, but we wanted to throw something in that is extra-festive and can be used by everyone, no matter where you are. Happy Canada Day!
