This romantic hideaway in Prince Edward County is perfect for two

The cottage is made out of repurposed barn board and has a metal corrugated roof. The front porch is divided into a screened-in area for dining and an open-air section for relaxing. The landscaping is easy breezy with cute potted plants lining the staircase and hanging off the balcony.

Here is the screened-in living room. We love all the rustic vibes in this room: the board flooring and wooden beams, the four-poster day bed with intricately carved posts, and the vintage suitcases tucked under the bed. Rugs, a canopy, and throw pillows bring some extra texture–making the place look very cozy.

Most of the main room is taken up by this whimsical queen-size bed. The draped fabric makes the space feel extra romantic, while the fur rug keeps it from feeling too pretty. Believe it or not, the kitchen is visible in this photo too.

And here it is! The fully stocked kitchen (including a sink, toaster oven, coffee maker, and fridge) is hidden behind wooden cabinet doors. The built-in shelves also store dish towels, plates, glasses, and other household items. What a cool space saver!

The bathroom is located a short stroll from the house in this cute outhouse, which has an outdoor shower, flush toilet, and sink. It has a similar aesthetic to the main cottage with its barn-board siding.

Romantic candle-lit dinners should be served on the picnic table next to the house, followed by a night making s’mores down at the firepit by the water.
