While there’s nothing like your very own cottage, Airbnb has made it their business to find beautiful and interesting places to stay all over the world.
Take this cable car, for example. From the outside it looks like a standard gondola. But inside, it’s a beautiful one-bedroom with the best view money can buy.
The cable car dangles at 9,000 feet above sea level and is found in a French ski resort called Courcheval. Guests are treated to a stunning view of La Saulire peak.
Unfortunately this listing is not available to the general public—yet. For now, it’s part of a competition that includes a one-night stay in the car, a traditional Savoyard fondue dinner, and wine. It is in France, after all.
Of course, sleeping so close to the peak of the mountain has additional perks: when morning comes, guests will have exclusive access to the untouched slopes for an hour before the normal lift service resumes.
