Come to the Fall Cottage Life Show to taste what’s new in the street food revolution. Matt Basile, Host of Rebel Without A Kitchen on Cottage Life television and owner of Toronto food truck Fidel Gastro will be at the Fall Cottage Life Show serving up his signature sandwiches. The Fidel Gastro food truck, better known as Priscilla, is Toronto’s loudest most extreme retro street food kitchen on wheels. Voted Canada’s number 1 food truck by Canadian Living magazine, she cruises the streets of T.O serving to the masses when she isn’t booked for a wicked cool private event. Matt recently opened Lisa Marie, his first restaurant in Toronto.
His culinary masterpieces embody street food flavours such as The Cuban Mac (chorizo and three-cheese macaroni in a bun) and The Havana Club (pulled pork, havarti, ham, onions and chili aioli). Matt is doing demos in the Cottage Kitchen, and will also be operating a Fidel Gastro pop-up food stand. Come hungry!
