Police were made aware of a moose running around the downtown core in Sudbury at about 10 am on Friday morning.

Tweets were sent out by local police, urging residents to watch their speed and avoid honking, chasing, or otherwise harassing the animal, as it was already frightened by the commotion.

After attempts to herd the animal into a fenced lot failed, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry was able to tranquilize the moose and take it safely to an unnamed location around 12:20 pm, said spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn.

Maybe he was just going on a Timmies run like these three moose in Newfoundland?
