It was New York’s David Richman who, in 1936, first patented dog shoes. They were tiny lace-up galoshes. Since then, the variety of dog footwear that’s available has exploded. You can buy socks, sandals, hiking boots, and high-heeled shoes for your dog. (Note: probably no one should buy high heels for their dog. Even people don’t like wearing those things.) Here are five pooch shoes to check out. Heck, at the very least, they could make for some cute photos.
