Michelada recipe

What I was I drinking on the long weekend? Micheladas, the refreshing Mexican beer cocktail. There are many variations, here’s mine:

Michelada

In a saucer, mix about 1 tsp (5 ml) each of salt and ground cumin with about 1/8 tsp (0.5 ml) garlic powder. Lightly rub a lime half around the edge of a large glass, and rim glass with salt mixture. Squeeze juice of half a lime into glass. Add 1 tsp (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce, a dash of hot sauce, and a dash of soy sauce. (Adjust quantities as you prefer. The soy is optional, but it beefs up the flavour.) Pour a bottle of dark beer (I used Kawartha Lakes Nut Brown) overtop. Enjoy.
