Grandfather builds epic three-storey tree house for his grandchildren

Massachusetts grandfather Jay Hewitt has built his two grandchildren, currently ages six and four, a truly epic tree house. The structure, which is three stories and 40-feet-tall, has taken the better part of a year to build and still isn’t fully complete.

Hewitt enjoyed playing in a tree house when he was a child and wanted to create one for his grandchildren to experience. Hewitt told The Sun Chronicle that the structure of his youth was, “basically a 4-by-8 sheet of plywood,” and that he was determined to create the best tree house any child ever had.
