This takes some woodworking know-how, but the result is fabulous—your very own deck chairs, without having to lay out a fortune. Instructions: www.instructables.com

Add four wheels and, if you’re feeling fancy, a glass top, and you’ve got a great portable, industrial-chic coffee table.

It doesn’t get much easier than this: stack pallets in a corner, top them with a futon or cushions, and you’ve got a reading nook. Screw the pallets together for greater stability.

How much simpler could this be? Just don’t use your pallet shoe rack to store your Manolos.
