10 DIY garden paths made from upcycled finds

Whether intended or not, all properties seem to have some sort of path that leads to the shed, the cottage, the dock or the deck. While some of these walkways are beautifully manicured, layered in expensive stone or other materials, others are more natural dirt paths, worn down over time by the wear and tear of foot traffic.

But creating a beautiful pathway doesn’t have to be an expensive, time-consuming endeavour that involves contractors and a torn up yard. In the increasingly popular world of recycling and repurposing, there are plenty of older, lesser-used items that you might have around your house, cottage or neighbourhood that could be perfect for the job.
