“Big heart. Little trailer” is a fitting slogan for Happier Camper. This pint-sized trailer punches above its weight thanks to its super-customizable interior, which can be reconfigured to double as sleeping quarters, storage space, an impromptu kitchen, or even an on-the-road office. The interior comes equipped with modular cube components designed especially for Happier Camper that make for easy transformations. And best yet, its stylish retro-inspired design means it’s a showstopper on the road.
After five years of perfecting the design, the Happier Camper is a beauty with its giant rear hatch, retro wheel fenders, panoramic windows, and funky paint job. The exterior is built from 100 percent bonded fibre glass while the top is outfitted with a solar panel to power the built-in Bluetooth sound system.
Inside, the trailer is outfitted with the Adaptiv modular system, which means you can easily reconfigure the interior based on your needs. Each Adaptiv cube component can be snapped into the floor just like Lego. For example, move the cubes to the perimeter of the trailer, add the table component and you have a makeshift office.
To transform the trailer into sleeping quarters, cover the whole floor in the cushioned cubes and you have a giant bed that can comfortably sleep five. Open up the windows and back hatch, and it’s almost like you’re sleeping under the stars.
All of the Adaptiv cube components are made from highly durable, weather-resistant, and lightweight materials. The cubed tabletops constructed from Lite-Ply, a type of material that’s 55 percent lighter than plywood but is just as sturdy. Along with bench tops and counters, other available components include a cooler/heater fridge, toilet port-a-potty, and an outside table base for dining al fresco.
The Happier Camper comes in a variety of colours, including a cherry red, mustard yellow, creamy white, turquoise, and Pacific Ocean blue. Now, who’s ready for a cross-country road trip?
