This four-person guesthouse used to be a shipping container

Costa Rican design firm Cubica has turned a metal shipping container into a charming and stylish micro-home. With only 160 square-feet to work with, the company thoughtfully maximized the available space to create a functional and comfortable abode.

The compact house was inexpensive to build, easy to transport, and requires less maintenance than your average bunkie. It was designed to be a guest retreat but could also work as a permanent home for those looking to downsize.
