Swoon over this modern tiny home with a rooftop patio 


We love the modern look of dark stained wood against black accents, but if you wanted something more earthy, go for a neutral hue like moss green or light grey. In this vignette, the home features an outdoor seating area with a couch and a comfy chair for trailer-side lounging.

The base package comes with granite countertops, stained cabinets and cupboards, bamboo flooring, and stainless steel appliances. The washing machine is tucked underneath the stairs, which lead to the loft bedroom. A tiny living area is filled with modernist chairs and an angular side table. For something more plush, swap the chairs for a two-seater sofa.

Each detail of the interiors are thoughtfully designed, from the bare bulbs hanging over the counter and the metal square-tiled backsplash, to the black shelves and green panelled walls. 


The bathroom is located on the other side of the trailer. Along with the shower, the bathroom is outfitted with either a compostable toilet or a black water tank system. Unlike many tiny homes, this space has a separate closet area. If you have the room in height, you may as well use it!

The loft bedroom has a treehouse vibe with its untreated wood floors and huge skylight. A tiny floor lamp illuminates the space at night and plenty of pillows and blankets keep it cozy.

We love how Tiny Heirloom turned an often unused space into an extra entertaining spot. We’d outfit the rooftop patio with potted plants and cheery twinkly lights. Depending on how off-the-grid you want to live, the house can be plugged into an external source or run off wind or solar power.
