Watch a black bear take an adorable dip in a wooden tub

At Cottage Life, we’re no strangers to bears with suspiciously human-like qualities. And this video of a black bear practicing his backstroke in a wooden tub is no exception.

The bear’s name is Takoda, which means “friend to all” in Sioux. He was orphaned in Montana, and he ended up at the Oregon Zoo after officials determined that being returned to the wild would be unsafe for him.

While we’d certainly prefer to see bears returned to the woods whenever possible, it’s clear that Takoda certainly enjoys a good bath on a hot day!
