Watch a black bear play tetherball like a pro

Watch as Eli—a North American black bear living in a wildlife sanctuary in Nevada—takes a crack at a tetherball. Despite having lost both of his ears to frostbite in 2010, he plays a pretty good game.

By now, most of us know to be wary around bears. Most species don’t want anything to do with humans, but it’s still not wise to get in between a mama and her cub. They are, after all, wild animals and we have no right to invade their space.

And I respect all that, but sometimes it’s hard not to find them cute and cuddly. And this adorable video of a black bear playing a solid game of tetherball isn’t making that any easier.

Good game, buddy.
