Watch this mallard duck make an epic landing on a frozen pond

While ducks eventually fly south for the winter, that doesn’t mean they miss the cold weather entirely. This mallard duck, for example, didn’t manage to leave before things got chilly, and was forced to land on a frozen pond.

Luckily, he pulled it off rather impressively.

It looks like he’s hitting the brakes a little at the end, but what a smooth landing! Other animals may struggle on the ice, but apparently ducks are cool with it.
