A foot clad in a sock and running shoe has washed up near Port Renfrew, British Columbia. It was discovered this past Sunday by a hiker exploring Botanical Beach.

The B.C. coroners’ office confirmed today that the foot was human. An investigation into who the foot belongs to and the cause of death is currently underway. The coroner also stated that there is no suspicion of foul play.

Since 2007, 13 feet have been found along the B.C. shoreline. The phenomenon made international headlines in 2008, after six feet were discovered within 12 months.

So far, ten of the thirteen feet have been identified.
