Discover Science North

Science North has long been one of Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attractions and educational resources for children and adults alike. This destination features an Imax theatre, digital planetarium, butterfly gallery, and special exhibit halls, among other attractions. Some of the exhibits at Science North have included “The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not,” “Wildfires! A Firefighting Adventure in 4D,” and “Dinosaurs Unearthed.”

What’s nearby: Science North is located in Sudbury, Ont., which is surrounded by a number of provincial parks, host to countless hiking trails, paddling spots, and campsites. Southwest of the city is Killarney Provincial Park, considered one of Ontario Parks’ crown jewels, known for the La Cloche Mountains’ beautiful white quartzite mountains.

How to get there: If you’re traveling north, follow Highway 69 continuing onto Regional Rd. 46 when you see signs for Regional Road 46/Sudbury. Turn right onto Paris St./Regional Rd. 80 N, followed by another right onto Ramsey Lake Road. Science North can be found at 100 Ramsey Lake Rd.
