Decorating the Christmas tree is a moment and a memory that many families cherish. For some, the traditional outing to hunt down the quintessential conifer is just as important as the decorating of the tree itself. What does your perfect tree look like? Whether it’s scrawny Charlie Brown-style or something to make all the Whos in Whoville green with envy, there are lots of Christmas tree farms within a short distance of Toronto.
Farms often offer complimentary services once you’ve selected your tree: shaking, baling, and assistance loading it onto your vehicle. Shaking is important since it removes any loose needles, and may even displace a few creatures too (nobody wants a squirrel launching itself out of the tree onto Santa’s plate of cookies). Be sure to ask prior to going if you’ll need to bring your own saw and tie-down supplies — and a mask of course.
