A Windsor, Ont. woman has been charged with racing a motor vehicle after being pulled over on her way to the cottage.

The 25-year-old was caught driving nearly twice the speed limit—she was going 150 km/h in an 80 km/h zone—on the Bluewater Veterans Highway, north of London, Ont.

According to the CBC, the driver told officers that she was “speeding in an attempt to make it to the cottage prior to sunset.”

Unfortunately, this planned backfired.  Her license has been suspended for a week and her car has been impounded.

Hopefully she found a (more responsible) ride in time for the long weekend.
