Witches spotted paddleboarding in Vancouver

Witches traded in their broomsticks for paddles in B.C. when they took to the water for a spooky outing on Oct. 15.

In anticipation of Halloween—or should we say paddle-ween—a coven of witches gathered at Kitsilano Beach for the “2nd Annual Witchilano Paddle” and collected donations for Food Banks BC. Participants dressed up in full costume, got on their boards, and headed toward False Creek, “cackling and casting spells along the way,” according to the Facebook event page

Social media went crazy for the event, with one participant, @benkielesinski, gathering over 2.7 million views for his TikTok about the experience.

The TikTok garnered hundreds of comments along the lines of, “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen.” And we agree.

Toronto’s very own coven was seen paddling on Lake Ontario a few years ago, and witches and wizards in Timmins love the water
