This coming Canada Day, Cottage Life, Canadian Tire, and Mary Brown’s Chicken are bringing together Canadians from coast to coast for the Summer House Party, a free virtual music festival.

The three-hour special airing on Cottage Life TV on July 1 features an all-Canadian lineup of artists including k-os, Tim Hicks, Serena Ryder, and Jesse Gold.

Filmed at Camp Tamakwa in Algonquin Park, on the ancestral, unceded, and treaty territories of Anishinaabeg peoples, the Summer House Party is an event for all Canadians to enjoy from the comfort of their home.

During this extraordinarily difficult time of grief and reflection, attendees can support Indigenous communities in Canada by purchasing a VIP “Care Pack” leading up to the event for $39.95, including a limited-edition Roots t-shirt and other offers from event partners. All of the proceeds from the sale of the Care Packs will be donated to charities supporting music education in Indigenous communities, including MusicCounts’ Band Aid Program, the Indspire City and Colour Indigenous Student Bursary, and the Indspire Alexisonfire Indigenous Music Bursary.

When: July 1, 2021, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Cottage Life TV (find your channel here).
