A man has died after a fatal collision between two PWCs on Crowe River in Marmora and Lake, Ont.

Just before 3 p.m. on July 20, the Central Hastings detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with the local fire department and paramedic services, responded to the call near Crowe Lake.

According to police, the initial investigation indicates that a PWC with two occupants struck the back of another PWC that also had two occupants. The operator of the PWC in front was brought to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, while the craft’s 40-year-old male passenger from Quinte West, Ont. was pronounced deceased.

All four occupants were wearing lifejackets at the time of the collision, say police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
