Get cottage design and maintenance tips from Steve Maxwell

With more than 40 years of cottaging expertise under his tool belt, Steve is at the Fall Cottage Life Show offering the following free seminars on the Main Stage:

  • Planning Your New Cottage or Addition for Beauty, Efficiency, and Durability
  • Living The Small Cabin Dream

Steve will also be the moderator of the Cottage Design Ideas Panel Discussion featuring show exhibitors sharing their advice on great cottage designs and how to plan your project.

Steve Maxwell, known as Canada’s Handiest Man, is an award-winning writer, photographer, builder, cabinetmaker and stonemason. Since 1988 he has been helping people through his articles about home improvement projects, construction, woodworking and power tools. He is a frequent contributor to Cottage Life magazine, as well as Canadian Home Workshop, and has also had a weekly column in the Toronto Star.

Steve walks the talk, and lives in a stone and timber home he built for his family on Manitoulin Island.

 

The Fall Cottage Life Show features more than 200 exhibitors dedicated to cottage and country home renovations, construction, building products, design and architectural services, plus fun stuff like boats, water toys, arts and décor, food and drink, furnishings for indoors and out, and finding those holiday or special gifts.
