Many Canadians have friends or family members whose lives have been altered by snowmobile accidents, and the Cottage Life family is no exception.

A week ago, Muskoka resident and Cottage Life alum Jake Thomas endured a serious accident while snowmobiling with friends in Bracebridge. His injuries include seven broken ribs, a dislocated hip, a fractured acetabulum, and a T12 burst fracture, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.

To help Jake, his wife, and his four children through these difficult circumstances, the cottage community has rallied around him and set up a GoFundMe page to accept donations. You can find that page and read more about Jake here: gofundme.com/jakethomasmuskoka

Jake has been a friend of Cottage Life for years, working with our TV show before the launch of our channel, and our thoughts are with him and his family as they forge ahead.
