Cottage development set for Haliburton County

Lally Developments, a custom home builder and golf course developer, is set to start building a development of affordably priced cottages in Haliburton county.

The cottages will be part of the MartinWood Golf and Country Club Resort, which Lally has been working on to transform into a year-round resort. The property will provide great access to hiking, snowmobile trails, Benoir Lake and, of course, the golf course.

A development like this, with close-knit cottages next to a resort, may not appeal to all types of cottagers. Still, there are some perks. As many cottagers know, there’s a lot of work that comes with owning one and MartinWood plans to take care of some maintenance tasks for a small fee, so there’s a bit more time for play. According to local papers, the cottages will also be priced at around $160,000 for two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Not only does the price appear affordable, but there’s also the opportunity to rent them out through MartinWood when you’re away.

More details about the development can be found at the MartinWood Golf and Country Club Resort’s website.
