Cottage Coach shows you how to solve a Rubik’s Cube

For the past four decades, the Rubik’s Cube has both infuriated and entertained people in pursuit of solving the 3D puzzle. Created in 1974 by a Hungarian sculptor and professor Rubik Erno, it has become a worldwide sensation.

The perfect indoor game, it provides endless hours of entertainment for people young and old who seek to solve it as fast as possible. Cottage Coach Adam Holman has an affinity for the puzzle and shares some of his tips for solving the cube.

Since its establishment in 2004, the World Cube Association has over amassed over 100,000 competitors across 140 different countries. The association governs competitions for mechanical puzzles that are operated by twisting groups of pieces, commonly known as “twisty puzzles”.

Yusheng Du of China holds the record for the fastest time to solve a Rubik’s Cube at 3.47 seconds! He achieved the sub-4-second feat at the China Wuhu Open in 2018, according to the World Cube Association.
