Did you spot these celebrities around Muskoka this summer?

As the end of summer draws near, you might already be reminiscing about your cottage highlight reel. Morning paddles, leisurely swims, grilled dinners, cold drinks with friends and family… What’s not to miss? From the looks of it, we’re not the only ones feeling wistful about summers spent in cottage country. Celebrities with lakeside paradises of their own (and some who just visit) haven’t been shy about sharing snapshots of their 2024 cottage adventures. See what these A-listers got up to, including dockside photoshoots, boat trips, and stops at the marina. Celebrities, they’re just like us! 😉

1. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber

The supermodel and her husband, Rande Gerber, built their lush island cottage on Lake Joseph more than a decade ago. Summer after summer, the couple (along with their two kids, Kaia and Presley) take a seaplane to the seven-acre property to unwind. The family is also known to host a variety of other celebs, including Shaquille O’Neal and Lisa Rinna.

2. Shaquille O’Neal

The basketball legend—also known as Shaq—previously paid Muskoka a visit in 2023 when he was spotted on the dock with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. This year, he made a special appearance at the Port Sandfield Marina in Port Carling, Ont.

3. Victoria and David Beckham

The Beckhams made quite the mark on Muskoka last summer when former Spice Girl and fashion mogul Victoria Beckham caught her soccer-star husband, David, and son, Cruz, on video lifting a downed tree (with the help of Elvis star Austin Butler, no less). This summer, it looks like the Beckhams spent some quality time dockside with family and friends.

4. Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and interior designer Lauren Kyle tied the knot this summer at a Lake Muskoka cottage rental operated by Jayne’s Luxury Rentals. The extravagant lakeside nuptials took place on the 16-acre Old Woman Island. The pair also have their own Muskoka abode.

5. Summer McIntosh

After spending much of July and August winning four Olympic medals in Paris, 18-year-old Summer McIntosh retreated to her family’s cottage for some much-needed R&R. McIntosh’s mom, Jill, who was also an Olympic swimmer, says her medal-winning daughter enjoys spending time outdoors while she’s at the cottage. The pro apparently loves waterskiing, but she “doesn’t do any swimming up there,” says Jill.

6. Lisa Rinna

The actress, perhaps most known for TV shows such as Days of Our Lives and The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills, has been cottaging on Lake Joseph’s Governors Island with her husband Harry Hamlin for years. The property has reportedly been in Hamlin’s family for over a century.
