Canadian Safe Boating Award nominations closing in November

Know of an organization or individual in your area who makes our lakes safer through products or initiatives that promote safe boating practices? Time is running out to nominate them for a Canadian Safe Boating Award!

Nominations for the awards, which will be handed out in Toronto this January, will close on November 11, 2013.

The CASBA awards span a number of categories, including Rescue of the Year, Marine Professional of the Year, Top Volunteer Dedicated to Safe Boating, Ontario Power Generation Best Boating Safety Initiative, Safeguarding the Environment, Marine Industry, Visible PFD Wear in Advertising, and Best Media Contribution to Boating Safety.

Last year’s winners in include Stefan McClelland for Rescue of the Year, Lori Mason for Marine Professional of the Year, and Bob Izumi, who received special recognition for his contributions to boating safety.
