The Calgary Zoo has announced the birth of a new baby zebra. Since his birth on December 1, the newborn has captured the hearts of visitors with his playful nature.
Pictures posted by the zoo show him frolicking in the snow with his mother Leba keeping a watchful gaze nearby.

No word yet on what his name will be, but he seems to have quite the personality already.
In December 2017, mom Leba gave birth to another male foal. It was considered a conservation success as Hartmann’s zebras are listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
