Dogsled at Haliburton Forest

Dress warmly and head to the scenic Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve to experience beautiful landscapes in an exhilarating and unique way—from the back of a dogsled. Guides will teach you the basics of dogsledding and introduce you to your team of Siberian huskies. Haliburton Forest offers a variety of tours, including a short tour of about one hour; a half-day tour that covers about 20 km with stops for warm drinks, photo opportunities, and stories; and a full-day tour that can cover about 40 km and includes a stop for lunch. All necessary equipment is provided.

Amenities: A full outdoor education centre including several winter outdoor education programs, snowmobile rentals, cross country ski rentals.

How to get there: From Hwy 118, go north at West Guilford cross the bridge to take County Road 7 for approximately 20 km. Look for red signs directing you to the Base Camp, the entrance point into Haliburton Forest.
