What differentiates the Muskoka Wildlife Centre from a zoo is the fact that it provides visitors with much more interaction with the animals, as well as a larger learning experience, rather than just a viewing opportunity. The centre’s indoor facilities and 50 acres of walking trails include exhibits featuring various types wildlife native to Ontario, such as cougars, beavers, moose, and more. For those interested in getting up close with the animals, “Meet the Creature” sessions are held daily. Some of the things you can expect to learn at the sessions include the animals’ adaptations, social structures, habits, and environmental threats.
