This gorgeous tree house is our dream bunkie

This treehouse looks like a classic cottage with its shingled exterior, pitched roof, and large wraparound deck. We love how when you're facing the front entrance, it looks as if the treehouse is simply floating in the woods.

This small seating area welcomes visitors to the treehouse. The two leather loungers look antique and match the warm wood that covers the floors, walls, and ceiling. And unlike most backyard treehouses, this one has electricity. A chess set and telescope hint at some of the homeowners’ hobbies.

On the main floor, there’s also this small dining nook/games space. Since the treehouse doesn’t have a kitchen, visitors should be sure to pack a hearty picnic. Large windows throughout the house bring the scenery indoors, while a ladder leads to the loft.

On the second-floor loft space, there’s a cool living room that feels like a clubhouse. Since bringing a sectional or couch up the ladder would be a headache, the homeowners chose these giant padded cushions, and throw pillows to make the space comfortable. Another ladder leads to a look-out spot in the house’s turret.

The back of the treehouse features this massive deck, which is just begging to be outfitted with picnic tables, a BBQ, and Muskoka chairs. Also on the 2.5-acre property is a 2,205-square-foot three-bedroom home.
