We love converted barns. The salvaged wood walls, the lofty ceilings, the sense of boundless space. There are lots of creative touches people have added to their barn conversions to make them unique and to take advantage of this space like no other. Most homes can’t fit an entire swimming pool, or a big spiral staircase, or a jam space in the middle of the living room, but barns have ample room and flexible structures.
Barn conversions can be done in many different ways, but as long as you don’t mess with the great, airy vibes, you pretty much can’t go wrong. We’ve put together a gallery of cool features from converted barns that make us dream about our own “someday” homes. Take a look, and start planning for your own barn-turned-dream-house.
