Watch a moose gallop through waist-deep snow like it’s thin air

Yes, North America is famous for its massive bears, but the undisputed heavyweight champion of the north is definitely the moose.

Moose are generally docile creatures, avoiding contact with humans as much as possible. However, they are not afraid to demonstrate their immense power during rutting season or when protecting their calves.

In this remarkable video, we see a moose plowing past through waist-high snow as if it wasn’t there.

What’s more impressive is that this herculean feat is unnecessary. The moose could have used the already-packed-down trail, but chose the deep snow just to stay a few extra feet away from the startled observers.
