17 dogs who can’t get enough of autumn

Some of our favourite things about fall: warm apple cider, freshly baked pumpkin pie, cozy sweaters, and striking foliage at every turn. For kids, fall is the season of Halloween costumes, carving pumpkins, and playing in the leaves. It seems there are endless reasons to love fall, no matter who you are—and that includes canines, too.

Autumn is the absolute greatest if you’re a dog—the temperature has dropped (making that fur coat more bearable) the neighbour’s jack-o-lanterns are attracting squirrels, sluggish and ripe for the chasing due to pre-winter feasting, and there are endless piles of leaves just waiting to be demolished. Even if you don’t have a pet—or even if you’re a cat person—this gallery of dogs frolicking in the leaves is enough to make anyone appreciate the season.
