What did the Englishman do in Canada? Pretty much everything

When English journalist Jamie O’Malley decided to visit his girlfriend in Timmins, Ontario, for three weeks, he also decided to take part in every stereotypical Canadian activity, and capture it on video.

It’s a pretty straightforward project, but the YouTube video is utterly charming, and has racked up over 500,000 views since it was posted on March 8.

O’Malley is very thorough, visiting famous locations such as the Science Centre and CN Tower, but also trying out five-pin bowling (A Canadian invention), dog sledding, and of course, a visit to Timmy’s.

While his trip was fairly Ontario-centric, O’Malley did a pretty good job of hitting on a lot of our favourite cottage activities such as snowmobiling, ice fishing, and close encounters with deer.

Do you think he missed any big ones? What would you suggest he do on a follow-up trip?
