Sitting wooden lounge chair and sipping beer all afternoon doesn’t take a lot of dedication, but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement.
Matt Thompson’s “Michigan Beer Chair” is a prime example of where a little extra dedication can take you. Instead of sitting beside a cooler and leaning over each time he nees a cold one, Matt simply pulls the wooden lever beside him, and an ice-cold can rolls into his palm. A trap door at the back lets him reload, and the top lid open so he can top up the ice. All that’s left to do is sit around and bask in the admiration of fellow woodworkers.
It’s cottage ingenuity at its finest, and for that we salute him!
