Where: Alliston, Ont.
Race Distances: 12 km, 24 km, 48 km, 60 km
The Rainbow Trail Run follows an approximately 12 km loop around Earl Rowe Provincial Park. The trail is partially paved, but expect some grass and dirt along the way. The largely flat course—there’s only one short climb to an infamous lookout—is suitable for runners of all levels.

Where: Uxbridge, Ont.
Race Distances: 1 km (known as the Kids’ Enchilada), 4 km, 8 km, 25 km, 50 km
Known as Ontario’s newest and most scenic trail running event, and located in the Durham Region (a.k.a. the Trail Capital of Canada), this race will challenge runners with rugged terrain and reward them with breathtaking landscapes and a supportive community. Brave runners should try the signature 50 km route, designed to highlight Durham Region’s most iconic landscapes.

When: June 22, 2025
Where: Fenelon Falls, Ont.
Race Distances: 5 km, 10 km, half marathon
This scenic route, known as the “Jewel of the Kawarthas” is a flat, fast, course along waterfront and nature trails. All finishers receive a medal and an event shirt.
When: July 5, 2025
Where: Huntsville, Ont.
Race Distances: 7 km, 14 km, 28 km, 42 km, 56 km
This rugged forest terrain will require nimble footwork, speed, and thoughtful pacing. Expect a well marked course, helpful volunteers, and a post-race meal. Each race entry fee includes a donation to Trails Youth Initiatives.
When: July 6, 2025
Where: Huntsville, Ont.
Race Distances: 113 km (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run)
This course is known for being physically tough but naturally stunning. Adjacent to the Great Lakes, this biking, swimming, and running course will weave you through a forest wonderland in some of Canada’s most beautiful cottage country.
When: October 5, 2025
Where: Bracebridge, Ont.
Race Distances: 5 km to 42.2 km
This certified 2027 Boston marathon qualifying course is speedy, scenic, and paved. Winding along the Muskoka River, this race is welcoming to runners of all levels. Expect a hydration station every 2.5 km, and a live DJ to keep spirits high!
