Just for fun: cottage photo booths

Photobooth

Nothing makes parents happier than having happy and busy kids. It means parents can finish their meals and relax a bit. While taping episode 5 of Dining INNvasion at Bayview Wildwood Resort, I implemented a woodlands photo booth with this very goal in mind, and it surpassed our wildest dreams! The kids loved playing with the props and getting their photos taken, and more importantly, the parents were able to watch from a distance and relax.

The photo booth I created included a scenic mountain backdrop, snow-tipped fir trees, a canoe, a totem pole, fake snow, a rocking chair, woodland deer, and a variety of different outfits for the kids to wear, including fake beards—my favorite prop of the bunch—as well as some hunter jackets and hats, and a fake axe.

These days, using filters and apps, everyone is a “professional” photographer on their smartphones, so why not create a fun photo booth for your next cottage get together? Kids love it and adults get way more into it than they want to admit! This is the perfect way to make your regular cottage party something special.

Here are a few of my favourite cottage-y photo booths:

1. Gently down the stream

2. Ski Chalet gone wild
