Light up your life with this DIY battery-powered wood sconce light

Asset 2

Keep things simple by using battery powered lights or LEDs to light up any room. Here’s how you can make yours!

Instructions:

• Cut 2 pieces of unfinished spruce 3/4 inch plywood to a size of 8×8. Use 1×1 pine to create the centre gap.

• Carefully use a blowtorch to give your wood a burned and textured look. Never hold the torch too long in the same spot! We stained one of our lights to show the difference between stained and unstained. Glue and screw your pieces together. Be sure not to screw through the font.

• Add tinfoil inside to help with illumination.
