Free bus service to see fall colours in Banff, Lake Louise

It’s no secret that Banff and Lake Louise are popular tourist spots, especially at gorgeous times of the year like autumn.

In an effort to help the traffic congestion that comes from people flocking to the region to view the fall colours, Parks Canada is offering a free shuttle bus service.

The shuttle will run every 20 minutes, leaving from the Lake Louise overflow parking lot to the Moraine Lake parking lot. It will be making the trip this weekend and next (the last two weekends in September) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We’re really hoping visitors are going to take advantage of this shuttle service,” product development officer Julie Champagne told The Canadian Press. “The road is going to be safer for everyone and they can just enjoy the ride,” she added.
