The OPP recently recovered the bodies of two Ontario men in Algonquin Provincial Park.

Tim Kolder, 19, of Mississauga and Jeremy Marrows, 21, of Georgetown had been missing since May 15th. Their canoes reportedly capsized as they were paddling next to one another.

The OPP’s Killaloe detachment, emergency response team, marine units, aviation unit, and underwater search and recovery unit were all involved in the search. After the first unsuccessful week, it was temporarily suspended while police re-evaluated the search area. But this past Friday, the OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit found the bodies in Opeongo Lake, which is located in the centre of the provincial park.

According to reports, the cause of death still needs to be determined by a post-mortem examination.
