Twenty-five-year-old engineering student Andreas Lie has homed in on a stunning and creative niche in nature photography. Using double exposures, a process that merges two unique photographs into an artistic expression greater than its parts, he’s created a lovely series of wildlife photos that capture the spirit of winter in his native Norway.

Hailing from Bergen, a city on the west coast of Norway, he draws inspiration from the majestic mountains and wild spaces that surround him—and in this case, the Northern Lights, which give these prints of grey wolves, brown bears, reindeer, and lynx an otherworldly texture.
