Beaver tails

I just got a note from a blog reader, telling me about her family’s plans for this Family Day weekend, which is almost upon us! She says:

“We’re off for our 2nd annual Family Day weekend in Ottawa. Evan, who was 3 last year, remembers it was too cold, but he’s willing to brave it for the BeaverTails. We’re planning on going on the canal (weather permitting!) and I’ve downloaded the new Rideau Canal app for my iPhone and the app for Winterlude activities and maps.”

If you can’t make it to Ottawa this weekend, no need to miss out on Beaver Tails. Here’s a recipe, courtesy of the Ottawa Information Guide.

And I’ll leave you with this critical Canadian question:

Do you like your Beaver Tails sweet (Killaloe Sunrise, anyone?) or savoury?
