Here’s a question to ponder over the weekend.

If a cottager were to set up a flush toilet in a little hut, separate from the cottage, perhaps with a barn door to facilitate the view out, and nothing else inside, what would you call it?

Is it still an outhouse? Or a biffy, water closet…
