The funniest DIY boats ever
Some of the Cottage Life editors dropped down to the Toronto International Boat Show last week. Other than the Spring Cottage Life Show, few places can transport me to the cottage like a room full of beautiful boats. So many shiny boats. And kooky ones too. Which got me to thinking about the silliest boats I have ever seen: a flotilla of giant, slightly soggy, joyfully decorated pumpkin shell hulls on a lake in Nova Scotia. I blogged about the “pumpkin ships” at the time, but you know what a picture’s worth… Here are some photos, just in case a new boat isn’t in the budget this spring—and you decide to build your own.
