Perhaps more than any other time of year, this is Cookie Season. Come December, even those of us who don’t usually bake begin to think about turning out a batch or two for friends, family, neighbours—and ourselves. This year, why not give your holiday baking a cottage twist? Simply take some favourite old-fashioned cookie recipes and add a pinch of cottage country. If a certain rotund gentleman finds a plate of these on the table when he squeezes himself down the chimney at the lake, he’ll certainly approve.
