I’m a fan of Sufjan Stevens, an American musician famous for announcing that he was going to create an album for each of the 50 states. Well, he got two done, and then moved on to other musical adventures. Now, a graphic designer in Minneapolis, Nicole Meyer, has taken on a similarly ambitious task. She’s designing a logo for each lake in Minnesota, one a day, every day. So far, she’s done a fantastic job and has posted about 150 of them on her website. She only has about 9,850 lakes to go. It will be interesting to see how she handles duplicates, such as all the lakes named Long; Ontario has dozens and I imagine Minnesota has a lot, too.
